Help with sexual problems using hypnotherapyworried women

Sexual dysfunction and hypnotherapy: Hypnosis to treat sexual dysfunction

Many people have sexual difficulties at some stage in their life, simply because life brings with it pressures, stresses and anxieties that can interfere with this aspect of life. Many of these can be the result of fear of intimacy, anxiety or even hidden shame or guilt. A loss of sex drive is often linked with stress or anxiety.

As with all client problems, matters of this nature are always treated with the utmost care, sensitivity and confidentiality, and always with the understanding that many people find it difficult to talk about private matters.

The most common sexual problems I help with are:

Both Sexes

  • Addiction to Porn
  • Fetishes
  • Inability to orgasm (Anorgasmia)
  • Reduced Sex Drive/Lack of Interest in Sex

These are by no means the only problems though. If you do not see your particular problem mentioned I can still probably help you.

Treating Sexual Problems with Hypnotherapy

I have found that with the right empathy, understanding and non-judgemental help, the subconscious reasons for your sexual problem can be released, relieving your symptoms, allowing you to get on and enjoy life.

Erectile Dysfunction (Impotence)man in emotional distress

What is Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the name given to a man’s inability to get and maintain an erection that is sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Some sufferers can’t get an erection at all; others get one but it isn’t firm enough to penetrate the partner; and others can manage penetration for a bit, but then lose it.

Erectile Dysfunction Causes (Impotence Causes)

Erectile dysfunction can have a range of causes, both physical and psychological. Many cases are due to psychological causes, particularly in the young. In general, erectile dysfunction is quite likely to be psychological rather than physical if the man:

  • is still waking with morning erections
  • can still get a good erection by masturbation

It is important though, to get checked out by your GP to rule out any physical causes. If you smoke this can have an effect so it’s worth chatting to your GP and thinking about stop smoking.

Common causes of erectile dysfunction are:

Help with premature ejaculation

Premature Ejaculation (PE) – What Causes Premature Ejaculation?

Premature Ejaculation is one of the most common sexual problems in men affecting about 40% at some point in their lives. However, for some men this can become an on-going problem.

The most common causes of Premature Ejaculation are psychological in nature, and often include:

  • Unresolved psychological conflicts
  • Worrying about what a partner will think of their sexual performance
  • Worry of Premature Ejaculation (PE) happening and past experiences
  • Underlying anxiety or stress
  • Having grown up in an environment where sex was seen as ‘dirty’, or where sexuality was often suppressed or used to induce guilt

It can also be linked to social phobia which is, essentially, a fear of being judged, humiliated, put on the spot etc.

Is There a Premature Ejaculation Cure?
As with other types of problems, clinical hypnotherapy is unlikely to give anything other than temporary respite of the symptoms because it has not dealt with the root cause. The good news is there IS a premature ejaculation treatment, that it responds exceptionally well to, called Pure Hypnoanalysis, which helps to resolve any underlying issues so that you can STOP premature ejaculation once and for all.

Help with Frigidity

Frigidity Symptoms & Frigidity Causes

Frigidity is broadly used to refer to a low libido (sex drive) in women. This term is often used incorrectly to describe a woman who is emotionally cold or does not respond to her partner’s sexual advances.

A lack of sexual desire can be psychologically embedded in a person’s subconscious and linked to greater issues that should be addressed. In some cases women may experience low libido and refuse or avoid sexual intimacy or they may endure it without being able to reach orgasm, finding little pleasure in the act.

In other cases, women may have difficulty being aroused or sex may even cause considerable pain or discomfort. Frigidity can sometimes be confused with Vaginismus. But whether the root cause is emotional or physical, frigidity can result in conflict and strain in even the most secure relationships. If you have ruled out any physical problem then Frigidity can be helped with Hypnotherapy.

Using hypnotherapy for Frigidity

There is a type of hypnotherapy that can REALLY help with Frigidity and other sexual problems.

Pure Hypnoanalysis has helped countless people over the years. The aim of Pure Hypnoanalysis is not to 'control', or 'manage' the problem, the aim is to resolve it.

Help with vaginismus

Hypnosis as a Treatment for Primary Vaginismus and Secondary Vaginismus

Vaginismus Symptoms

Vaginismus is a condition where the symptoms of Vaginismus are involuntary tightness of the vagina during:

  • Attempted intercourse
  • Attempted use of tampons
  • Attempted gynaecological examination
  • It makes any attempted penetration very painful.

The tightness is actually caused by involuntary contractions of the pelvic floor muscles surrounding the vagina. The woman does not directly control or 'will' the tightness to occur; it is involuntary, and can be compared to any other reflex action where the body closes up as a reflex, like when the eye blinks if something approaches it.

Like all subconscious responses women ‘learn’ that these attempts are painful which sets up a fearful cycle of pain. As you subconsciously or consciously fear the pain so the tightness happens automatically, no matter how much you consciously tell yourself to try to relax.

There are two types of Vaginismus – Primary Vaginismus and Secondary Vaginismus and they can both be treated with hypnotherapy.

Primary Vaginismus
This is where a woman has never been able to have sexual intercourse. It is normally discovered when she first tries to use tampons or when she first attempts to have intercourse. It is like she is ‘closed up’. Primary Vaginismus can result in sexless, unconsummated marriages.
Secondary Vaginismus
Secondary Vaginismus refers to when Vaginismus starts later in life, after a period of pain-free intercourse. It is possible to have had a number of years without any problems and then develop Vaginismus.

The Exceptions

There are always exceptions to these specific classifications. It is possible for a woman to tolerate years of uncomfortable intercourse with gradual increasing pain and discomfort that eventually interrupts sex. It is also possible for a woman to be able to occasionally have sex without discomfort and enjoy it only to find that Vaginismus returns next time.

Other Vaginismus Classifications
Beyond the above basic classifications, physicians and specialists may use other medical terms referring to Vaginismus such as apareunia or dyspareunia.

Vaginismus Causes

  • As with all conditions, it is wise to check out any physical causes but Primary Vaginismus causes tend to mostly be psychological.
  • Secondary Vaginismus causes can start as the result of a physical condition which resulted in painful intercourse and becomes psychological resulting in Vaginismus because of the anticipated cycle of pain.
